Pittsburgh Steelers The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team，which is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They play the ND(Northern Division) of the AFC( American Football Conference) in the NFL. In 1933 the team was founded. It has gained the most SB(Super Bowl) titles and won the most AFC Championship Games . Meanwhile it also hosted the most conference championship games. They have competed in the most AFC conference championship games and are connected with the DC(Dallas Cowboys) with fourteen championship game shows in either the NFC or AFC competitions. They are the NFL(National Football League) champions. On Feb 1st, 2009 ,they have won SB(Super Bowl )XLIII. On July 8, 1933 the Steelers were founded as the Pittsburgh Pirates by Art Rooney. Since its founding ,the proprietorship of them has remained within the Rooney family. Currently the owner is Art's son, Dan Rooney. He has given much control of the privilege to his son Art Rooney II. The team enjoys a fanbase nickname SN( Steeler Nation) too . Now the Steelers compete in their home games in Heinz Field on Pittsburgh's North Side which also hosts the UPP(University of Pittsburgh Panthers).In 2001 it was built,and the stadium took the place of Three Rivers Stadium ,which hosted the Steelers for thirty-one seasons.In addition, they had played their games in Pitt Stadium and Forbes Field before Three Rivers.
